Restorative Yoga Workshop ~ Relax & Blossom Into Radiance

Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00pm

Shake off winter and blossom into radiance!  This workshop gets you ready for the activity and rebirth of the spring.  The poses release lethargy, toxins and wastes from your cells that accumulated during the heaviness of winter.  You will feel lighter and brighter, and this translates into heightened creativity, productivity, clarity, energy, and freedom of movement.  Celebrate the power of restful yoga, breath work, and relaxation. 

 

This practice is perfect for anyone with injuries, arthritis, inflammation, challenges, and anyone who wants a quiet space to relax.  Resting in each pose pacifies the “fight or flight“ reaction to stress so that "rest and rejuvenation" can restore balance to your nervous system and quiet your mind. Most students experience profound sense of calm, balance, and peace, which continues long after the workshop has ended.  


Restorative Yoga is appropriate for everyone. All poses are done on the floor and held for 5-15 minutes with the support of cozy props to ensure deep relaxation. No prior experience necessary. 


THIS IS A HYBRID WORKSHOP ... in the studio or via Zoom.   

PROPS NEEDED IF YOU JOIN US FROM HOME: At least 3 blankets, 2 yoga blocks, and some pillows.  A yoga bolster is recommended,

TRE ~ Tension & Trauma Release Exercises Workshop

We all experience stress!  TRE™ is a revolutionary routine to release deep chronic tension and to restore an inner sense of peace and calm by allowing the body to gently shake and let the stress go!  TRE™ has been taught with great results to over 7 million people in 60 countries.  


Nanci leads you through a specific series of exercises designed by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, to facilitate the body’s natural shaking mechanism, which takes you out of “fight or flight” and brings you back into “rest and digest”.  These exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism to shake or tremor.   When this muscular shaking mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to its natural state of balance.  


Backed by research, this fundamental theory states that stress, tension and trauma is both psychological and physical. The reflexive muscle shakes of TRE™ are described by many a pleasant and soothing experience.  Nanci focuses on your comfort during the session and that you feel safe.  She is also available post session for any inquiries.
