As we are move into autumn, it is the perfect time to calm and settle your nervous system after the busy time of summer. Restorative Yoga calms the nervous system and quiets the mind. Relaxing on props for comfort and support in each pose, stress falls away. This pacifies the “fight or flight“ stress reaction so "rest and rejuvenation" can restore balance to your nervous system, muscles, joints, and your mind. Nanci is a certified massage therapist and a Reiki Practitioner. She offers hands-on during this workshop (if your desire) for a deeper experience.
Restorative Yoga is appropriate for everyone. All poses are done on the floor and held for 10-15 minutes with the support of props for deep relaxation and repose. It is an ideal yoga practice for injuries, arthritis, inflammation, challenges, beginners, and for anyone needing to relax.
Join us for an opportunity to let Stress Fall Away. You will leave this session with a deep sense of calm and renewal. All levels welcome. No prior experience necessary. Dress comfortably in layers. Please have any food two hours prior to class. Bring a yoga mat (if you have one) and your water bottle.
