Restorative Yoga Workshop ~ Spring Awakening

Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 4:30 to 7:00pm

Springtime is alive with newness and energy!  Are you ready to shed the heaviness of winter?  Restorative Yoga can wring out winter’s dullness and release lethargy, toxins, and wastes so you feel lighter and brighter. This lightness can bring heightened creativity, energy, and vitality! 


Restorative Yoga is for anyone who wants to relax. It is an ideal practice for those with injuries, arthritis, inflammation, and physical challenges.  All poses are done on the floor and held for 5-15 minutes as you rest on cozy props for deeper relaxation.  This practice balances and calms your nervous system while it pacifies the “fight or flight“ response to stress. 


Most students experience a profound sense of peace and tranquility which continues long after the workshop has ended.  No prior experience is necessary.


THIS IS A HYBRID WORKSHOP ... in the studio or via Zoom.   

PROPS NEEDED IF YOU JOIN US FROM HOME: At least 3 blankets, 2 yoga blocks, and some pillows.  A yoga bolster is recommended,

TRE ~ Tension & Trauma Release Exercises Workshop

We all experience stress!  TRE™ is a revolutionary routine to release deep chronic tension and to restore an inner sense of peace and calm by allowing the body to gently shake and let the stress go!  TRE™ has been taught with great results to over 7 million people in 60 countries.  


Nanci leads you through a specific series of exercises designed by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, to facilitate the body’s natural shaking mechanism, which takes you out of “fight or flight” and brings you back into “rest and digest”.  These exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism to shake or tremor.   When this muscular shaking mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to its natural state of balance.  


Backed by research, this fundamental theory states that stress, tension and trauma is both psychological and physical. The reflexive muscle shakes of TRE™ are described by many a pleasant and soothing experience.  Nanci focuses on your comfort during the session and that you feel safe.  She is also available post session for any inquiries.
